Nordgröna

Nordgröna was born during a rainy excursion in Sweden, from the discovery that reindeer moss has the unique ability to absorb water and keep the inside of tents dry.
While still students at Lund University, founders Oscar and twin brothers Joris & Sander found a way to apply this versatile material to modern living and working spaces.
Nordgröna's first product was installed in 2014 in a café. Since then, customers have included BMW, Apple, Porsche, Google, IKEA, and more. In 2019, Nordgröna was awarded the “Di Gasell” and named one of the fastest growing companies in Sweden.

Nordgröna

All Nordgröna products are made from renewable materials where possible, are fully recyclable and yet built to last a lifetime. The reindeer moss that is used is harvested by hand, in an area of approximately 15,000 km² (5800 mi²). No more than 20% of the amount is taken at a time, and the area is not visited again for at least 4-5 years. After a treatment dedicated to conservation and conservation coloring, the lichen is no longer alive, but will keep its shape, color and texture unchanged.
The cork is then harvested by hand from the bark of the oak without damaging the tree.
which manages to live for over 200 years, thus representing the ideal of sustainability and respect for the environment, leaving the quality and design unchanged.
